Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin


The Trinity College is one of the oldest schools in Ireland which is situated in the heart of Dublin's city centre. It was founded in 1592 by Elizabeth I of England and Ireland. Its full name is The College of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Queen Elizabeth near Dublin.





It is actually the home of about 17, 000 students who take up major courses such as the arts and humanities, business, law, engineering, science, and health sciences.




Some of the world's finest people are indeed product of the Trinity College Dublin like the writers Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, William Rowan Hamilton and Ernest Walton who were known scientists, political analyst Edmund Burke, and Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland and UNHCR.




What you need to know:
1. The campus is open to public. You can see various foreign nationals roaming around.
2. Bring your camera and enjoy the scenery of the campus.
3. Book of Kells has an entrance fee ranging from 7 euros to 28 euros.


4. Guided tours are available, check the official website of Trinity College for details.


5. You may want to check the Berkeley Library, Zoology museum, Science Gallery, The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Arts Cafe, Buttery Restaurant, and Hamilton Restaurant.
